Overview: Unity in Diversity is a global and political travel magazine, bringing people and perspectives together.

Inspired by something called the Overview Effect, the paradigm shift astronauts can experience when seeing planet Earth from space, eliciting feelings of unity, interconnectedness and an understanding for its fragility, Overview adapts this concept for the sphere of social politics and travel on the globe. To celebrate diversity in the context of unity and to stand up for unity in a world of diversity - Overview is a utopian proposal for the future of our globalised world.  

Overview builds a global community on paper, united by a shared worldview. It aims to counter the rise of fascism around the world and the media supporting it with small thinking and discriminative finger-pointing. Deconstructing the traditional form of magazines and journalism, Overview’s philosophy of Unity in Diversity is expressed through creative writing; in-depth interviews, reportage photography, illustration, collages and other forms of art commissioned for the magazine. The subject of diversity is reflected in the diversity of its form. Overview doesn’t aim to tick boxes, but to create a space for free thinking based on the conviction that positive change starts with the ability to imagine it.
